*  Large pockets on each side of the pack with zippered closures and two MORE pockets below with elastic tops and cinch straps for water bottles and other smaller items you need to be able to reach easily .

*  On the back of the pack , there is a large "pouch" with a compression strap at the top for load adjustment . 

*  Behind the "pouch" is a handy "daisy chain" for attaching all sorts of smaller gear you want to take with you.
